Depends who MoN wants up front Carew/Gabby/Fonz then 442 but Heskey spoils the balance of the team so rather than him bring in NRC.
If MoN did play NRC then I also think he would be able to play Delph as I think these two would be good foil together, somehow we need to start winning the midfield battle instead of being over run each game as seems to happen far to often.
That said we are doing well and have plenty of room for improvement so do not be too down. _________________ SOTC Look at me tan! |

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Sunderland League Cup?!!! So why 4pts out of 12? And didn't we win that game? |

Picking up a point away from home if you're not firing on all cylinders is a good sign imo because these are games where we would've got zero points a couple of years back.
That said, I agree improvement is needed!!! I would love to see Delph & NRC versus West Ham and if that means going 4-5-1 then so be it. Problem is, now that Carew is back on the scoresheet and Gabby is doing better who would start up front? |

FFS - get your facts straight before you spout off jammy. Surely its;
ALL COMPS OVER LAST 6 GAMES: PLAYED 6, WON 2, DRAWN 3, LOST 1.
OR
PLAYED 12, WON 8, DRAWN 3, LOST 1. (IF WE TAKE IT BACK A FEW MORE GAMES)
OR
IF JUST LOOKING AT PREM AWAY ONLY ITS: DRAWN 2, WON 2, LOST 1. WITH WINS AT lIVERPOOL & BLUES... HARDLY RELEGATION FORM OR EVEN POOR.
I respect your opinion if your not happy with draws at Wolves or Everton. Personally I was not happy with Wolves but Everton is not a bad result. |

| Perhaps the team that has spent £220m+ luckily drawing away, against a bottom 5 club today, puts our draw against Everton into perspective!!!! |

Everton was never going to be an easy game and many thought that Wolves would be a push over. Look at how they came back at Stoke yesterday. Ideally we should be picking up more points but I don't think we are doing too badly. We need at least a point at WHU (not easy) but we definitely need to beat Bolton on Saturday. Lose that and I would agree that all is not well. _________________ Aston Villa, the home of Premier League football in the Midlands. |

In the next three games (West Ham, Bolton, Burnley) we really need to be looking at picking up seven to nine points but at present we're doing OK.
With Milner and Petrov looking likely to be out this could be a chance for us to go back to 4-5-1 with Gabby on the right and NRC coming in. Carew should probably get the nod as the lone striker, not that he or Heskey are up to much at the moment.
Man City's result yesterday does put our away points into perspective. Nobody is really firing at the moment apart from Chelsea and Arsenal. And as long as we're in amongst it at this stage then that's pretty good. |

mebees , I'll have egg on my face 10 o'clock wednesday evening , but We/Villa aint going to loose at the boleyn ground , and if itsjust a point we come away with so be it.
I see something more for us though vest ham have improved in the last two games, I know. But we have the best defence in the league and carlton (do me a favour)cole who is more prolific than heskey ,but dont do much else there best option. I think we can stop there attacks and counter more in this game than any other game weve played this season.
