Bent to Boro - Adam Johnson to Blues???

Just a rumour ive heard, not substantiated at all, just thought id pass it on, Bent has gone to Boro on loan, to be made permanent in Jan with Adam Johnson coming for 6m.

Like i say just a bit of fun rumour, not guarenteed. so dont shoot the messenger

If that was at all possible Blues should get that sorted on a pre contract agreement...ASAP!!!

Adam Johnson would be a wonderful signing for a club like ours and would be the type of winger we have been missing for the past 4 seasons.

Tatts has mentioned in a couple of recent articles that Blues have approached Johnson and he has said "Thanks but no thanks". He has told us that his January move is sorted already.

Depends whether you believe Tatts' sources I s'pose.

Having said all of that, I would love to sign Adam Johnson, but am pretty sure that sadly we won't.

According to the rumour mill this morning a couple of papers saying he`s going to Sunderland for 3 million.

On the 90k player it was substantial enough as Vieira agent said there had been dialogue.....It may well be that they were using blues to engineer a move to a bigger club. So not so much a rumour. I guess Sully and Co allowed it to spiral to benefit sales.

Johnson is being eyed up by Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, Real Madrid and many more he is like Ashley Young with Milners reliability and consistency rolled into one.

Judging by his age them big clubs will probably quite gladly sit back and let a club like Blues have him for a few years and wait till he matures and shows his worth in the premier.

The player is out of contract at present and is expected to fetch £3m+ in a tribunal deal this next coming summer. He has made it obvious he wants to move on.

So I dare say if someone offers them £7m+ now they will have to seriously consider it in light of promotion not being guaranteed.

£7mill!!! Jeez after watching the Boro v Plymouth match, I hope he can play better than that every week. Or has he decided to show his disgruntlement by being carp on the pitch. I'm all for bringing in up and coming players but that price seems ridiculous and more than say Carlton Cole is worth.
