|
|
I ve just seen this on the main blues page, that a ST holder can bring a friend to 2 games in december for £10 this board just get better and better
http://www.bcfc.com/page/News/.....21,00.html
for those of you who havent signed up here is what the article says:
SEASON TICKET HOLDER OFFER - TWO TICKETS FOR A TENNER
Blues have introduced a special offer for 2009/10 season ticket holders that will enable them to bring a friend or family member to two games in December for just £10.
Season ticket holders can purchase one ticket for the West Ham match on Saturday December 12 and one ticket for the Blackburn Rovers fixture on Tuesday December 15 for the combined cost of only £10.
That's just £10 for two tickets!
This is the latest ticket initiative introduced by the new Board since their arrival last month.
The Board have already reviewed all games and reduced prices and grade categories from the next game (Fulham, November 21) onwards to ensure that it's more attractive and affordable for fans to come regularly to St. Andrew's.
We hope that with bigger crowds producing a better atmosphere, the team will continue its recent improvement in home games that has seen four points gained from matches against two clubs in the top half of the table. _________________

again, i dont see how this benefits season ticket holders, the old board tried it and there was nothing but grumbles from the season ticket holders.
me personally am not 1 bit bothered, i paid for my st and am happy, and love seeing them do all they can do to fill the ground. but if this is their way of giving something back, i can see a few moans and groans coming.

Its like buying a car then 3 months later the same place are selling the same car cheaper, theres nothing you can do so moaning about it wont get anybody no where but £10 for 2 games and only ST holders can get them for that price is a really good offer _________________

IF these games are not a sell out then i dont know what else the owners can do, we would not be able to say we are anything near a big club with a big fan base and Carson may aswell give up.
Well done all concerned,

Keep it up!!
Hopefully a couple of the stay aways will go and the old habits will come back!!!
Once the bug gets them again (if the result is good) they will come back.
If some decent money is ssent in jan and our results are OK i can see many seats being snapped up and in the summer it could be a case of waiting lists.
I hope!! |

A very good incentive to get people into the ground and it does not bother me being a season ticket holder as i have paid a decent price for my seat so if it get people back and the ground buzzing im all for it.
But i feel the tired and weary Blue noses that have been missing for the last 3 years will not come back until they see some real action in the transfer market and the big promises fulfilled.
If they get in the quality the will fill the stadium, even if they charge £40 a ticket.
The last lot tried £5,£10,£20 tickets and kids for a £1 or free but still failed because the wallet was kept shut!!!
Fans are once bitten and twice as shy now and want to see the colour of the money....not an impressive Buffet!!!!
BCFC have got thousands and thousands of fans and real investment in the team will bring them back....Simple!!!

THIS IS QUITE SIMPLY STUNNING !!!
£5 for a premiership football match, I've often mentioned the harsh new financial realities post credit crunch but this really leaves noooo excuses and without a doubt these games WILL sell out in advance. Brilliant stuff again from Sir Carson.

I suppose it'll benefit season ticket holders if you sell each ticket for a tenner
Not that i'll be doing that, tempting as it is _________________

These offers dont usually work.
Fans who are probably going to go will just get in cheaper on this offer.
I just believe its about patience.
How many rebirths have we had. We just gotta face it some of the floaters are just not that enthusiastic anymore and it will take plenty of positive market activity to prove the ambition.
The last 4 years of this board having PR managed SPIN. Phrases like substantial funds and it will never happen again.
This is also on the back drop of fans living in the culture of waiting around for a cheap game every now and then. We also have the public perception that nothing else matters in the media if you follow a club that is either not top 4 or a wannabe team that spends sizeable amounts ie; Viler, Spurs, Man City and Everton.
Take a look at most the other clubs in the league and prices have been slashed at Wigan, Bolton, Blackburn, Portsmouth and Hull. Even so sell outs are not so often even more so for televised games.
The football clubs not going places have fans who would rather watch for free on iraqi goals.
I was told as little as 2,000 fans can walk up to the ground on spec on a match day.
I am confident that if they part with £40m in January the half season ticket brigade and various floaters will return.
If they stay up and restructure the prices and spend £40m more if we cant sell out then we should finally admit that the big fan base we have has been lost on this generation.
I personally will be annoyed with plenty of friends who said 'will come back when sully goes' or 'when they prove their ambition i will go'
Just lately its just too many garbage excuses.. _________________ AMBITION BORN 1993 DIED 2005 STILL AWAITING THE REBIRTH

Good points Tilts. I made similiar observations after Sunderland But I was very angry that the any excuse brigade didn't take the opportunity to show the new owners they were there to tap into.
Basically the stay aways are followers of the Blues via any media but not supporters or fans. Untill they think they are missing something they won't get off their fat backsides and so the rebirth will be slower than we would like or may even not happen at all.
All the Sully is the reason merchants have basically proved him right which really peeves me as the bloke has walked with millions that could have made the Blues a top 10 club.
The deals don't mean diddly as far as attracting bigger crowds it just means the club is losing money.
IMO all footy is overpriced so any reduction is welcome for a different reason however if the new owners aren't careful we will continue to move season ticket holders who are struggling financially to pay on the day and the effect will be negative in the long run.
Help the community by giving free kids tickets via schools by all means and possibly give pensioners a better deal with season tickets. They need to be very careful here too though as if they make concessions the norm you'll get the nearly old pretending to be older. I have a real example of this. I went on a golf trip with some guys from Leicester one of them is 53 and a Leicester season ticket holder. He follows the Foxes everywhere and has been buying pensioner tickets at all away games for 2 years!
The only way to fill the ground is top quality footy and the chance of winning something. _________________ How i loved the Enckleman years |
