A very interesting link Rasta . Just showed it to one of my youngest sons that came with me today to watch the old boys marching from the church to the British legion . It is important that they realise what the soldiers of the two world wars and other conflicts sacrifice and risk for the freedom of others . _________________ “ This is the modern world , we don’t need no one to tell us what’s right or wrong “

In this day and age it is good to see that there are decent people that can put their selves out to show some respect and thanks to those that have done their upmost to protect our lives and freedom .
Fair play to you . _________________ “ This is the modern world , we don’t need no one to tell us what’s right or wrong “

As always I attended my local parade from my club (Forget Me Not Ex-servicemans), marching with soldiers old & young and proudly wearing my fathers medals.
It was great to see many more people supporting the rememberence service this year, with many children in attendance - we must ensure that our children never forget the sacrafices their forefathers made for this country. _________________ "It's just a job. Remembrance Day
We wear a poppy
On Remembrance Day,
And at eleven
We stand and pray.
Wreaths are put
Upon a grave.
As we remember
Our soldiers brave.
RIP |
