If he stays on his toes instead of looking heavy footed all the time, then that may help 'open the gap'.
As for fans saying he was a contender for MOM yesterday, you have to be joking.

What exactly did he do for 93 minutes though? Okay he hit the post twice but apart from that he was pretty absent and seems reluctant to close defenders down.

O'Connor is the ONLY player that forces goalkeeping errors by closing them down! Remember Czech last year? he made Speroni panic a few times last night.
I agree with the official O'Connor verdict, closely followed by FQ who must have absolutely knackered at the end.

Indeed I do remember Cech last year, when Jerome closed him down forced the poor kick which ricocheted onto him and onto the post.

Okay, apart from the winning goal and hitting the post twice, what have the Romans ever done for us?
Sorry, I though that was funny....

i dont give out the official man of the match award. i thought frankie q was man of the match. i think this is all just a plan to get o connor back into the scotland set up.

Some fans will never take to O'connor but for me he was very good in the match tuesday. its interesting how people react to different players..ie jerome for me has an awful touch and offers so little yet people rave about him. Different opinions i guess.
GOC is never going to be world class but his movement and his way of holding the line worked really well with phillips.
I actually think he would benefit to a bit more football being played around the box as inside the box he seems to be in the right place at the right time....i would guess that for time on the pitch his goals ratio is very very good.....
Shame really as the bloke actually seems to really enjoy playing for the blues and gives it his all......which is normally something us fans demand..
