so much better than recently.i know barry got the abuse cos of his villa connection but id like to see all opposition players getting some when they take corners etc.i remember some years ago at oxford when their winger whod been getting loads wouldnt come and take a corner.no kidding he was bricking it.so lets keep it up.as eck says..hostile not violent.thatll do for me.marks..7 out of 10.

It will be interesting to see the size of the crowd or the Fulham game. Two good performances and cheap prices,we should sell out shouldn't we?

The stay aways are fast running out of excuses but i'm sure they'll still find a reason not to leave their arm chairs Rolling Eyes

You wouldn't get rid of KRO even if you wanted to knocks spots of every other clubs song even VILLA,VILLA,VILLA (in a high pitched voice!)
Ok, then if you are a "stay away" fan then why? I'm not having a dig just want to find out what it would take to get you back.

Though I am getting sick and tired of the constant slagging off of 'stay away' fans ,I will tell you why I don't go much, firstly, money,I aint got enough of it to justify spending up to £50 to watch 90 minutes of football, match ticket, travel etc.Secondly I am now an ancient 53 years of age, believe me,I have paid my dues in my youth, watching the debut of Trev, the best ever(in my lifetime)Blues team of the 70's,home and away for many seasons, bunking off work early on a midweek to go and watch Blues at Spurs or whoever,my appetite for live football has waned, when I was young, the thought of missing a match would bring on cold sweats and I felt my week was not complete if I didn't get to the game, hell I even met my missus at a Blues v Manure away game.Do not think that I am any less of a fan because I don't attend games, you can still be a Christian even if you don't go to church. The next generation needs to carry the flag now,new blood is needed if we are to grow,if the new owners continue with their plans,I may be able to attend on a regular basis.KRO

Zulu, I didn't mean "you" specifically just a general enquiry as to why we aren't filling the ground. As I said in my post not having a pop at those who dont go, just wanted to find out why. Excellent post Jim, this year is my "Do or Die!" year but so far been impressed. Sunday was the best atmosphere for ages and got me reminiscing when we were like that every game. It seemed that a lot of players lifted their games and it was great to hear all the different nominations for Man of the Match and walking out of the Tilton chuffed but disappointed with only a draw. It doesn't make you less of a fan but Stans would be a better place with you down there.. A sensible debate might get heard in the right place

noone is having a pop at those who cant afford it or may have health/distance reasons.but im sorry folks a true fan will go no matter what.we can all give our histories of how weve sacrificed this that and the other cant we?but instead of referring to themselves as blues fans when they dont attend they should refer to themselves as "were blues fans"

Bar derby games that's the best atmosphere i've witnessed down St Andrews in a long while!!! It went up a notch for CY and co's first home game and did so again yesterday and rightly so!!

the only thing that was dissappointing was the attendance! I know we were on live but surely there are more people within Birmingham who just have to pay the odd £3 for bus fare plus the tickets, who can afford it!?

BaldJim- no-one here will question what you have given to the Blues in terms of support down the years, and it's great that the younger generations of your family will be down St. Andrews for years to come...but...IF you don't mind my saying so, the ground would be much better with everyone there! I know you stated about money £50 a game or best part of, but there are other's who are older than you and perhaps live further away who still attend there is a bloke in the KOP who is a season ticket holder who is 92/93 years old!!! Love for the Blues will never end, and your day's of coming down shouldn't! (until it's impossible, health reasons etc.) This is not me having ago but I feel that MAYBE you like other 'stay away' MIGHT just be picking up on slight reason's why you "can't" make it!! No offence!!

I am sorry, but to say you are only a fan if you attend games is rubbish, lets say for arguements sake We sold out every week and you couldn't get a ticket, does that mean you are not a fan ?,you have to accept that some people are what you probably sneeringly refer to as armchair fans,I refuse to be drawn any more on the subject,I will continue to post on here with my love of Blues,if you don't think I have the right to support Blues, that's your problem, not mine.

there's 2 words getting mixed up here, FAN and SUPPORTER. you can call yourself a fan because you love the blues, but you can't call yourself a support because you do not support the blues!

people need to start getting their backsides back down st andrews, its clear for everyone to see!

i think eck hit the nail on the head with his comments about the crowd. he said after the missed pen, the crowd could have gone quiet and got on the players backs. but instead they were louder than before which kept the lads heads up.

and as for attendances, newcastle have the highest in the ccc this season with 44,000, and nobady can say that they haven't been taken for a ride by the board!
