Not something I normally contemplate although our record against them in recent years ( one particular awful match aside ) is better than the other big 4 members but just feel with their dire form, injuries and mounting pressure on Rafa coupled with our new found exhuberence and zip we might just sneak a result. No Gerrard, Carragher, Degen and Hyppia gone, Alonso gone, Aquilani yet to figure and I'm sure there's more I've missed we've probably on paper not had this good a chance in decades. What does anyone else think, I say go there and go for it and keep the momentum going. Am I being realistic or getting a little carried away?

budda I dont think u r getting carried away, its a possibility,if only we could score the 1st goal, we r improving each game, but il go for a draw being thier home game,I think ECK will go 4-4-2 to start, but the game will dictate whether he stays with it,,,chucko got to score sometime. Monday could be his night!!!!

everyone reckons Benitez is responsible for the state Liverpool are in........

Can you imagine the headlines when Benitez causes Benitez to get sacked...

I'll take us for 2-1

Normally I would say not a Snowball in Hell's chance but Liverpool's having a shaky spell at the moment so I wouldn't rule a win or draw.

Please please Chucho score I do not care if it comes off the corner post an arm thigh chest a total fluke as long as you put one away soon please.

I think Blues have a really good chance of getting something out of this.
They seem to have a new found confidence since the takeover and they way Liverpool are blowing hot and cold at the moment Blues can go to Anfield and even put the two upfront and let Chucho and Jerome have a go at that shaky defence of theirs.

I dont know what state Torres and Gerrard will be in by Monday,no doubt they will be both fit and raring to go knowing our luck but either one of those two missing and Liverpool are so much less effective.

Barry Ferguson will be a massive blow for us so i would like to see the same team again but with Fahey coming into the middle to replace him,but i think he might opt for the more defensive Carsley.

Unfortunately i cant make the game on Monday, the first Blues game at Anfield i have missed in the last 20 years Crying or Very sad because my dad has just had a major op for Bowel Cancer and im needed there but the both of us will be glued to the TV kicking every ball with the Boys in Royal Blue.

I know this is way off topic but if any of you ever donate money to charities always try and give it to some kind of Cancer fund.

The Doctors and nurses that work on these under funded wards do a fantastic job in treating and caring for patients and need all the help they can get and sometime in your lives unfortunately a friend or a family member will be touched by this evil disease so the more money that is pumped into their funds will always help.

Well that's a surprise although only a few votes in I'm obviously not alone in optimism for this one the beauty being as well if we do lose it's not a game when the fixtures come out we'd have expected anything from. Go for it Eck, it's almost a no lose situation with huge upsides if winning beyond the three points, no guts no glory.
Best wishes for your dad Harbs, just lost a relative who was terminal with cancer although it's not what got him in the end but bear in mind they're pushing up survival and recovery rates all the time.

I'll be happy with a 1-1, with Benitez on the score sheet.

Oh, and advice to Eck (not that he needs it), get Chucho running at Carragher. Last 2 games he has given away penalties except only one was awarded. He seems to revert to rugby tackling quick strikers these days.

If they were ever there for the taking, now is the time. I am hoping for an attack policy and there is no doubt in my mind we can win. This is a 3am in the morning match for us far east Bluenoses, but worth getting up early for.(or not going to bed - it depends)

Go for it eck. Laughing

Yes its a god time to play the car thieves.
No Carragher and hopefully no Gerrard or Torres.

To be honest I'd take a point right now but I have this feeling that Anfield is a perfect scenario for Chucho's first goal !

i think we have to be positive and get into them early. only concern is that we will play 4 5 1 and play into Liverpool's hands. THEY ARE THERE FOR THE TAKING. Lets see 4 4 2 and giving it a good go.

When are Liverpool at their most dangerous?
That's right when every one says they are down and out, sorry lads but as much as I would like us to get a win out of this game I don't think it will happen.
Don't forget we are with out BF which means our mid field will be very week going forward. I am hoping we can get a draw.
